The Lineage

Built by a working actor. For working actors.

Posey Acting Academy was founded by John Posey — nearly four decades on set, over a decade in the classroom, and credits across the kind of network and streaming shows most actors only audition for. He built this academy because he saw the gap between the way acting is taught and the way it actually gets booked. Then he built the platform around it.

Notes From the Set

Feedback comes from actors who were on a network set last week — not theory from a book. Every note is grounded in what the room actually asks of you.

Two Academies

John Posey leads the Adult Academy. Jesse Posey and John Ahle Kellar anchor the Youth Academy. Same standards, same platform, ages and material handled separately.

Small Rooms, Real Work

Classes stay small enough that you're on your feet every week — scene work, cold reads, and audition prep, not lecture time.
